I just installed a painless harness in my 73. The original dome light was broke and the wiring was burned. Where can I get the pigtails for the replacement fixture or a whole new light assembly that will bolt in. It does not have to be an original style.

I have the same question...ChevyIIonly (link above) only sell the dome lens and the housing not the electrical setup in it.

You might have to find a donor or do something custom. maybe find a similar socket and pull the guts out of it

I guess I'll check with one of rod shop guys. The street rod builders have to use something.

I have 2 of the bases for a 73/74 and a lens. One of them has about 6" of wire attached to it I also have a brand new wiring harness for the dome light.

Interior was gutted on my car when I got it. Headliner was toast and had been used as a mouse house. Dome light assmbly gone. Wires were there up to the headliner area then cut off before they reached the dome light.

Think I got from classic industries.

Hey great info! im pretty sure thats what he was looking for and me as well. I never would have thought to look for the dome lamp harness...it seems to me the dome lamp base and harness would come together but guess not.
