Ok, I have most of my stuff and will be getting the rest next week. The DD shaft is getting swaped out for the polished one. But here is what I have so far. I will try and take some pics as I go and ask a bunch of questions I'm sure

The kit was engineered around the ididit column but iether would work fine.Which ever you could get the best price on.Be carefull the lower shaft on the FR column may be a different style/size or spline count. You may need a different upper joint to make it work.Do some home work before purchasing the joints.

Did a little bit more tonight, only the passenger side. I figure if I keep doing just a little bit everyday I can get this done faster. I have an understanding wife

Hi Justin.
I see stock appearing disc brakes there. Are those stock spindles? Was it a brake kit? Looks good.
Thanks, Al

Nothing stock here. These are from a Chevelle. I'm sure it was a brake kit I just don't know what kit was used as the previous owner did the conversion.

It was a common conversion back in the 90's made by Global West.

62-67 NOVA AND CHEVY II

Simple disc brake conversion kit using a donor car:
Nova disc brake conversions came be easy with our DB-1010 kit. All you need is spindles off a donor car and 5 lug steering knuckle arms found on 64-67 Nova's . The upper ball joints off the donor cars have the same taper as your current upper ball joint. The lower ball joints will be handled by our kit. The kit comes with 2 ball joints, 2 ball joint housings, and 2 retaining rings. A little welding will be in order but no cutting of your lower control arm. Simply weld our ball joint housings into your lower control arms, press the ball joints into the housings, and install the retaining rings. It is just that easy. The list of the donor cars are: 67-69 Camaro/Firebird, 64-72 Chevelle, Olds Cutlass, Buick Skylark, Pontiac Lemans , basically all A-bodies and 68-74 Nova's.
Part # DB-1010 includes lower ball joints. $99.95 one kit per car

Help

I need some help on getting the old power sterring stuff off. I'm going to try and get a larger socket as the 1 1/4 is to small. Any help on getting this off is much appreciated.

I thought if I took the nut off the arm would come off I guess not!

This the where the 1 1/4 socket is to small. I'm thinking if I can take this off the rest will just drop.
