Hi everyone. I’ve been on this forum from the earlier part of the year, asking a lot of questions before I even bought a Nova. So now I would like to share my build as I go about it. I thank all of you for your answers and guidance. I am sure that I would need more in the future. Many years ago I restored a numbers matching 69 Z/28 Rally Sport. Being a restoration I had to make everything stock. So there was zero creativity on my part. That’s why on this build I will do anything I want to it and make it my own.
I was looking for a car all over the country and even sent inspectors to two different cars to check but both didn’t pan out. One of them looked really nice but I got lucky that I sent the inspector as he found a whole list of things wrong with the car. From terrible body work to leaking fluids from the motor and trans! And they wanted 49k for the car. Best $300 I spent. I would have been devastated if I have gotten it and dodged a bullet. I finally found a 67 roller with a 12 bolt posi rear end for my project. The car is pretty solid being how old it is. My intention for this car is for it to be a resto mod/pro touring type car. I am going to run an LS3 crate motor with a Tremec TKO 5 speed and mini tubbed. The front clip is from TCI. My wheels will be 8” up front with 10” at the rear.
Here it is. Thanks for looking.

Cleaned up and painted the 12 bolt. Installed Moser C clip eliminator and disc brake brackets. Also narrowed the rear leaf spring shackles with Moroso brackets. Installed the rear with 3” lowering blocks and also installed Caltracs. I made a rim/tire fitment jig to see what size rim and tire to run with my mini tubs installed. Ordered American Racing wheels with custom offset. 10” rear and 8” fronts.

Looking Good. You've been busy. But I am wondering how you took the picture of the leaf springs with your shoe under the wheel and looking at the bottom of your foot?

Okay, we removed the whole front end to make way for the TCI front clip. We also cleaned up the firewall and stripped to bare metal and treated it with Ospho. Painted a lot of the parts that we took off initially that I will be reusing including the parts from the clip. Installed the clip so the car could roll again.

Working on trunk area. Part of the trunk pan had some rust so we replaced it. Also stripping the paint to bare metal and treating with metal treatment and applying primer the same day to avoid rusting. Very humid here.

I want to paint my bumpers the same color as the body but in a matte finish so I cut off the heads of the carriage bolts and had my friend welded them in on the front and inside. I ground off the weld and put body filler in the dimples and sprayed with epoxy primer ready for paint which is a long ways off.

Since my car is ready for bodywork and paint and I can’t do anything to it I decided to make a carbon fiber front spoiler/air dam. You can reed the full write up in my other post with spoiler / air dam in the title. Here are some pics.
It attaches to the bottom of the bumper with bolts.
