New here, so I thought I'd post a few pics of my project. Bought the car in 2000 for my wife, ( I have 57 Belair ) but she wouldn't drive it because the paint was falling off. So I started to fix the paint and ended up a resto. Just got it back into the garage in Dec after 7 years of sitting. Since Dec done floor pans undercarriage, front sus, dash etc.Planning on 3rd gen motor and trans, trying to keep body all org.

Thanks guys, would like to get the fuel lines/pump/filter and trans cross member in this week, along with the computer mounted. I am going to run the truck fan ( yes it takes HP ) but this will be my wifes driver and I don't think she'll miss a couple of horses under the hood :D. Checking into right hand outlet/inlet rads, found a few but no trans cooler, might run external cooler or find one with left hand trans cooler/right hand motor outlets.

Got the ECM mounted on left fender. Found a mounting bracket that was flat on the back so I didn't have to fab my own. Came of a 2000 Blazer but I think s10 and Sonoma are the same. Picked it up from the auto wrecker for 5 bucks.

Thanks Mike, definitely going to take her for a run before I start final prep/body work. Nothing like having to tear something apart after paint is done. Hoping to have ready for paint by mid Nov, which means Jan in the real world. Will just be nice to get back onto the body and feel like I'm moving forward! LS install took a lot longer than I thought! Still waiting for your LS, but I know you have something up your sleeve!

Back on it, had to get all the yard work done! House keeps cutting into my car time. Got my new fender louvers so I figured I better make a template before I muck anything up. Have to drill 38 holes and you guys know how a drill bit likes to wander on sheet metal, so I made a template out of 3é16 aluminum. I`ll just flip it over to do the left side. Louvers sure dress up the fender!

check eng light

Didn`t like where my check eng light was under the dash and how hard it was to notice. I put aftermarket oil/temp gauges in so my stock temp indicator wasn't being used. Picked up a yellow folder and some small letters to spell "CHECK". Turned out pretty good, now I have a stock check eng light.:D Couple of crappy pics, have a crappy camera!

Finished off the gold paint for the interior, not a pro painter but not a trailer queen either. Wife's not home so it's sitting by the fire to dry.:D Now I can move onto the aztec bronze on the door jambs etc.
