Two part question related to getting 12 volts to coil and that pesky resistor wire in harness.

1. If I want to run a jumper from ignition switch to coil, am I splicing to the "pink" wire?

2. Two wires run into resistor / 1 out to coil. Can I cut resistor out and pigtail two into one into coil ?

Appreciate any feedback.

running the PN 8360 no box, just red to positive/orange to neg/black to block & grey to tach. Ignition wire to coil drops voltage below 9. Running on a live jumper from battery for breaking, but need to tidy things up :)

The pink wire goes to the back of the plug. The wire you want to replace is the resistance wire, labeled white/orange/purple resistance wire in the diagram. You can cut this wire out and replace it with regular copper wire. If you leave a couple inches of resistance wire near the plug to attach your new wire to it is pretty easy.
