Recently pulled my 6AL to have it rebuilt by MSD. When I bought the car the box was tucked tightly under the dash surrounded by a mess of wires. I'd like to relocate the box somewhere other than under the dash. Any restrictions or problems with mounting it in the engine compartment? Heat, water, oil?

I mounted mine on the drivers side where the windsheild water bottle went! I can take a pic for you but not till tomorrow

Mounted my 6al under the battery tray, some may say it's not ideal there but i'm not too concerned as i run a sealed battery, been here since 2001,
it's an old pic but it's still mounted there.

Same place I put mine and since I don't drive my Nova in the rain anymore, it's just fine. :yes:

Thanks, guys. Looks like as soon as the box returns from MSD it will go in the engine compartment.

Paul, thanks for the pics. Since mine is also a 64 and I don't have the washer fluid container, I'll probably mount it in the same spot. Thanks.
