Good morning everyone, I'm about to mount my hurst shifter onto my m-20 muncie that will be installed into my 62 nova. Originally the shifter plate was mounted to the muncie using the 3 middle holes on the tailshaft. However I read some place that the shifter should be mounted in the most forward holes. I don't see how that will work because the speedo cable enters the muncie in that spot. Any ideas or comments will be great! Thanks!

Thanks guys, I did some scavenging through my ol' man's garage and came across the #3857584 tail housing. It seems to be in good shape. As for the spacers, doesn't the linkage kit from hurst come with them, since the kit is specific for this application. If not I'll have to make my own. It shouldn't be that hard to cut 2 pieces of round stock. Thanks again.
