So I’ve read where some people have moved just the front leaf spring perch inboard. Doesn’t that through the alignment off on them from front to back?

Ive never heard of only moving the front of the spring inboard. I know others have moved the rear of the spring inboard with offset hangars. However, some people have had issues with the leafs then contacting the fuel tank. Some have been lucky and not have it touch the tank while others have had to buy a narrowed tank.

Yes it does, but it does not affect function. When I was looking for rear suspension mods for my second gen I did come across one thread where the front spring mount was moved from the outside to the inside of the sub-frame rails. I can't recall if the rear hangers were moved also. I recall reading somewhere that leaf springs from the factory are not parallel. Moving either or both front and rear mounts will result in requiring relocation of the spring perches on the axle.
