For a street car with a 383 making 579hp/505tq, what are the pros/cons of running each type of system. Cost? Reliability? Ect.

Thanks

In 5 years I have lost 1 electric fuel pump, I replaced with another Black label Holley. I can hear it when I start the car but after that, I don't hear much. I like the electric because I can adjust the pressure...normally 7.5 lbs but no more than 8 lbs.

And you can run both too. A small feeder pump back by the tank feeding the mech. Not a common method but redundancy isnt bad either. I had to do it on my motorhome cause the stretch was just too far for the old mech pump. On my FI car its an electric, some are noisier than others. But once the engine is lit the only thing you hear is the engine at that point. JR
