You will have to cut out and rebuild the trans tunnel, fab up a crossmember for the 6 speed and make a hyd clutch setup work, but the motor should bolt up to the stock V8 frame mounts.

thanks for the info looked all over the internet and could not find any good info on this swap with the stock front end.Everything i found had a aftermarket front clip.A little moding to the tunnel will be worth the 6sp, more gear in the rear with the .5 overdrive in 6th....

Can i keep the rear steer or will it have to go?

National Nostalgic Nova sells a front sump 1 piece rear main seal oil pan for this kind of conversion

It'd be a good time to update the front suspension with the Church Boys rack and pinion and the CPP/Church Boys lower A arms. There would be no oil pan issuses then. The above mentioned pan works but if you have stock suspension then an upgrade would really compliment the drivetrain parts you want to install.

I believe from the point where the trans meets the bellhousing to the trans yoke will need to be cut out and made bigger. The t56 is a much larger trans than a muncie.
