Any tips on how to hook this up?

I was assuming that this would go in between the booster ?

Needing the vac for power brake booster? I had one of those before it worked good for one pedal push. I changed to hydrobooster,no more worries. Or get a vac pump for the booster with limit switches for on and off.
I tried one and ended up selling it and installing a pump. Low vacuum is low vacuum all the reservoir does is give you more volume of the same low vacuum.
And be for-warned I have an expensive pump and it's very noisy.
Well the brakes work, I just know it could be better. I'm seeing about 5LB's at idle in gear.

Hydrobooster? Details?

the last thing I want is a noisy pump!

Wow 5lbs! Thats a lot! :rolleyes::eek::D JK'ing

I have the same problem 8in of vac at idle. Will prolly get a pump from older chevy celb.

Here is a link for some reading. It uses powersteering pump to multiply pedal pressure.

All is well and good until that panic stop to keep from hitting something with your "PRECIOUS"...12Hg is a minimum must....Get the pump for sure:yes::yes:....Jack
Ok, so now I'm thinking about the pump.. Have you been able to hide them at all? my engine bay is pretty clean.

Any pics of it installed?
I have The Right Stuff detailing pump I put mine in the drivers wheel well right behind the headlight. It's not a small pump by any means or quiet. But being in the fender you can't really hear it in the car. If I new the size when I ordered it I'd look for a vane style pump.
Hydrobooster and be done with it. Forever!
What happens when the pump motor dies?
I have a SBC vacuum pump and I originally mounted it on the inner fender of my 66. Way too noisy! I talked to SBC and they told me to mount it in a battery box in the trunk. Mine is just under the package tray. It works great and can't here it at all. I also put foam in the box and mounted with rubber grommets.
