i know, i know....4spds didnt come with consoles prior to 65. what options are there for the ones who WANT consoles with their pre 65 4 speed cars? anytihng from other cars fit? anyone sell an aftermarket unit that will work?

pretty sure you can use an automatic console and change the shifter panel? someone please correct me if i'm wrong.

Yeah, I think someone used one from a Neon and cut it down a bit. Came out pretty nice...

Why not use one from a '65-67? It would look "factory".

The auto consoles will not have the location for the shifter in the correct offset location.

I put a 4spd in my 64 Chevy II, it has the original center console from the automatic and it fits just fine.

I have the stock console with a 4 speed also. Works perfect!
