Has anyone used this product www.lizardskin.com ? I am planning ahead as far as insulation and was curious about using it instead of insulation mats. Maybe firewall, floor, and behind headliner. What do you'll think.

i've purchased some of the insulation from Home Despot/Lows and was thinkin' instead of the dynamat... looks like you've found an alternative...

i'm interested too... so please consider this a "bump"

I don't think it's considered an 'instead of', usually an addition to other sound deadening materials, and it has a good reputation.

my dad just finished using it on his 46 ford...he did the firewall and under the front seats and stuff...not all the way back though...he was amazed at the results...the car rides a lot cooler in the texas summer heat...he did have like 2 layers of the other insulation and now i think he only has one, and its cooler than it was with 2....hes gonna do the model a sedan inside and underneath for maximum effectiveness....

i believe it supposed to be used more as an undercoating...i think at least...i would do this on the undercarraige and dynamat inside
