I just recently swapped my L6 for a 350 and kept the stock powerglide tranny. In doing this I had to change the linkage out from rods to cables and now that I did that for some odd reason I cant get the kickdown to downshift. When I stomp on the gas and its just flat. It should spin the little pizza slicer tires on there. Any help would be great! Thanks

Oh really? Haha. Well I've got clearance. I had shorty headers that didnt fit and ended up having to get long ones which I believe are the only style that work on 68 because of the steering column. I just can't get why the passing gear doesnt engage when i stomp on it. It just doesnt make sense.

did you adjust the new kickdown cable or just install it?
