I have a 62 with a 350 in, when I put on the pan I get leaks, yes I used seal on it, It seam that with a front sump pan the gasket is a little to thick in the front and bends out of place. Is there a special gasket for that pan, or do you just use permatex only on it?
Thanks Tony

permatex on the corners i believe you have tighten the pan down to far causing the gasket to push out you may need to get a new one and start over :(

There are different thickness rubbers for the front lip. When I got my new oil pan from speedway motors it came with 2 different seals for the front and gave directions on how to measure for the correct one.

Use the thin seal for early pans. It's pan specific not engine specific.
