I currently have a stock 250 L6 and want to throw on some headers, an offy 4bbl intake, and a carb. I have heard the 390 Holley is best, but what model number carb works best for this application?

I am running a 500 Edelbrock and it is extremely responsive.

It was installed sideways, with the primaries close to the engine.

I have the Offenhauser 4bbl intake and Stovebold split exhaust.

I installed the heat plate under the carb but have not hooked it up. Actually, the carb works so well, I may never route the hot water to it.

if your gonna be running hot water to the manifold you can cheap out and go with the offy or hit up clifford performance for theirs. more expensive but they have water passages through the manifold which works so much better then the heat plate
