Hey guys- I still have a knee knocker I removed from my 396 66 Chevelle SS when the car was wrecked in '79. :( It's been in a box since then and so it's in great shape. I assume they used the identical Tach on Novas. On manual equipped cars only? I have an auto. I'm debating on selling or using the tach- Does anyone have a template on where to mount it? I also see there are reproductions out there now, so maybe the value isn't what it would have been. Thanks

Do you have a picture? If it has a swivel ball and nut I think it is the same as Nova.

If it is mounted solid then it is Chevelle only.

Yes, this is a solid mount. Is the swivel mount available for a conversion? Is it possible, if it's a dealer add-on, not all were swivel?

Actually if it's a factory one, it's solid. If the dealer bought an accessory tach for a Chevelle it would be a swivel, same as Nova.

Here is the Nova tach, ignore the added-on-later Pontiac emblem. It should have a bowtie there.

Ok - Thanks for the info guys- Apparently this tach is a Chevelle unit only. I might have to hunt down some Chevelle owners then :)
