Guys, after ten months, my '72 is finally home from the body shop and I'm beginning the process of reassembly.
I need to replace the kick panels and want to use those with speakers installed.
There are some on eBay with Pioneer speakers but the review says they fit terribly, come w/o mounting screw holes and are fragile.
Does anyone have a recommendation?

Reference the assembly manual U79 and cut your openings to line up with the pockets in the cowl.
Use your panels or locate some originals.
