I just recently bought a '72 SS, and am curious about a couple things. The VIN does not have a K in the 5th letter, but, does that necessarily mean it's not an SS? It came with a 350...I know that was the highest displacement you could get that year, but could you order a 350 without it being an SS? It has front disc brakes (factory), factory AC (taken out, but still have it), bench/auto, and today I noticed that there used to be a swaybar mounted above the rear. It was removed, but you could see outlines from the dirt. Did all of the cars come with atleast the holes drilled? There isn't any badging, but alot of the body panels have been replaced.

Does the missing K in the VIN indicate that it isn't an SS, or ?? Thanks.
