is it easy to change the 90* spark plug boots for straight plug boots? also can the wire be shortened? im looking at jegs brand 8.5 wires which needs two 90* boots changed out for two straight boots if i buy those or summit brand 8.5 wires that have the right boots at the ends but one wire is too long and needs to be shortened if i buy those. what do you all recommend? which to buy? which is easier to do? or better to do? whats your opinion and experince? i never have done any mods to wires before...
thanks

Yes, yes and yes. I like the long, boot them yourself wires. Since every build and plug wire route varies, I pefer to get a kit that has the right boots and cut the wires to length for my specific application. There is a metal fitting that pulls inside the boot once crimped onto the wire. Its a simple install and many kits come with instructions and a crimping device (msd comes with a crimper) or you can use coaxial crimping tool or if your good with your Kliens or neednose pliers you can pull off a nice round roll crimp.

I say give it shot, get the experinece and see if it works for ya- if you get in a pickle, you know you can always come to the site for a pointer.

my II sense:eek:

They are not too bad. I just did my first set on my nova and they sure look a lot better. Not a hard install at all.
