edelbrock recommends using gasgasinch on the intake manifold gaskets.

unfortunetley i noticed this only after installing the intake... used edelbrock gaskets but no gasgasinch

gonna be an issue?

have heard from at least one member they had lots of trouble with edelbrock heads sucking in intake manifold gaskets

It`s been a while since I installed a set on a 79 Z that I had. It was a 406 Eld RPM head combo and I didn`t use any and I did not have any issues.

I wouldnt worry about it. I only started using gascacinch within the last couple of years. I never used to. Its added insurance against the gaskets moving or a possible intake leak.

been running a set of edel. for about 9 years now and not one problem with the intake gaskets. just a thin bead of RTV and good to go.
