Does the same valve cover fit the 1962 all the way up to the 1979 inline 6 194,230,250 cubic inch engine? I hear alot about the INTEGRAL INTAKE being different, where is it different? And why are there no pictures i can find anywhere, computer, books, manuals etc showing an integral intake set up beside a non integral to show the differences?I wanted to purchase a chrome valve cover and side engine covers for my 64 wagon 194ci,and ended up polishing the factory valve cover and side engine covers.I am having a hard time keeping them polished, they need to be sealed.I still want to buy a chrome valve cover and side engine covers if youve got em.
Just doing the lines on my disc brake conversion,BRING ON THE 09s!!!!!

Hey Bilt2go, I'm 95% sure that the valve cover are the same in both types of heads. The integral heads mean the intake and exhaust manifolds are made as one. Do you Know what year your 194ci is? I don't believe they had integral heads on early the six's. Oh, the 292ci is a different story.

I don't believe the integral head was until around 75 or so, not for sure.
Nothing to worry about on your 194, only the later 250's had the integral head. There are tons of places online to buy the chrome accessories for the older inlines.

The integrals had a different valve cover. They had a lumpy appearance for smog plumbing. Never compared them to see if they mount the same.

Be careful on the cheap chrome valve covers as people have had a tough time getting them to seal. There were factory chrome covers in 63 and maybe 64 and if not abused will seal. Also, Mercrusier 165hp motors have finned aluminum valve and side covers; they are painted but can be polished up. They are often on eBay.

I bought a chrome valve cover from Hotzone performance (now called CFR Performance) and had to use a cork gasket for it to seal properly. I do have an extra set of chrome lifter covers if interested.
