I have a 67 with all of Church boys stuff in front. But I have the Chevelle front disc's which put my wheels out by 5/8". I have 17x7 american racing torque thrust wheels w/ 4 3/4" back space. No rub . But I want chrome wheels. Now here is the question. If I bought zero offset brakes up front could I get Coys Chrome 17x7 wheels w4 1/4" backspace on. In the long run it would save me about $500 over polished custom wheels from Billite Specialties. I would like Batman09 to help me on this. He gave me the perfect formula last time with my wheels. Front tires are 215-45x17

7” wide wheels with 4.75” BS is the recommendation for 1st & 2nd gen cars with zero offset disc brakes. If you do the math the you end up in pretty much the same place.

If you’re track width at the wheel mounting surfaces are 59.25” wide with Chevelle disc brakes and you do the math.
Chevelle disc brakes - Subtract 5/8” or 0.625” x 2 = 1.25”
New wheels have 1/2” less BS - Ad 1/2” or 0.50” x 2 = 1.0”

59.25 - 1.25 = 58”
58 + 1.00 = 59”

Your net gain is 1/4” more space available.
