1974 Nova SS, equipped with a 1969 327 and 4-spd.
The shifting pattern on this car is unlike my previous ones.
It has the H pattern for 1,2,3,4th, but the reverse is completely to the left (past first and second)pull towards the driver and down.

Can this help with identifying my tranny, or is this just the pattern of my HURST shifter?

Any input would be appreciated,
Thanks

Could just have the lever reversed for personal preference. I have had a customer who always wanted his reversed so that he didnt get it confused with first gear.

Ya that's possible, both my Muncie and Super T10 are in and forward.

Over left (towards the driver) and down (towards the back of the car). The shifter is probably hitting your thigh??? The reverse shift lever is installed on the transmission upside down.
