WOW!!! That GN is super clean!

My cousin had one EXACTLY like that one. Same color. Everything.

Unfortunately some dirt bags stole it and crashed it joyriding in it!

If there's one thing I know, it's that Buick quoted Henry Ford when they released the GNs. "You can have it in any color you want, as long as it's black."

My father bought an '87 GN new (auction is for a GNX tho...) Looked real sharp from the outside, inside was...eh...uninspiring. I drove it a few times, you'd punch it, and wait a split second, and then wheeeeeee! Really moved out nice. Always wanted to put a GN drivetrain in an early Nova or Camaro...

I'd love to have a GN or GNX.

I remember seeing this car for sale before. I'm not sure I'd want a 20 year old car with 9.9 miles. The thing was made to be used, not sit.

Nice to here someone mention the WE-4.
I just sold mine 2 summers ago.
My brother in law still has my first GN, he couldn't understand the need for good fuel in boosted engine and he let it ping itself to death.
The first thing I did the the WE-4 was add alcohol injection, bigger injectors( MSD 50's) Ta49 turbo 4" down pipe, big neck on the intercooler and adjustable chip with the Maft pro.
That thing would rail on pump gas.
148,000 miles and run mid 12's all day @ 22psi with stock suspension and street tires.

Now if I could get my nova to do that:D

Mine had a Terry Houston 3" down pipe with test pipe (cutout), bigger injectors, several different chips, homemade adjustable WG running about 19psi, ported this and ported that on a stock turbo. It pulled very strong from 2000rpm. I miss it so much, that I am building my 66 to have either a big single or small twins.

I am going to show this to my cousin, he has a Grand National with 2400 miles and a GMC Syclone with 23 miles. He never drove the Syclone. Bought it in Oakland, trucked it down to LA, and pushed it into a garage. He has a few other cars with super low mileage and completely stock.

I had a buddy that was into them big-time when they came out. He originally bought a 1984 Grand National (the 1st year) and then in 1987 he traded it in with 13,000 miles on it towards an 87 GNX just like this one.

I raced him in my 64 Nova in 1987.

I had a stout 377 4-speed in the Nova and beat him, but not by much. He was catching me on the top-end though and probably would have eventually blown by me as my 377 was wound tight.
