I just pulled off the center cap off of my 63 nova. and found 5 lugs! I was under the impression that it was a 4 lug due to the front drum brakes.I have 14 in. rallies and I know rallies were not made in 4 lug patterns. I should be ashamed I have owned the 63 for almost 2 months and I am bearly pulling the caps. Are these brakes original or have they been swapped for a 5 lug set up?

Thanks for all the great info on the 1st gen nova!(still a greenbean)!

62 and 63 supposedly came with 4 lugs. I suppose someone already did the work for you, unless it was built in late 63 and it was done at the factory?

Are you going to do a disc conversion up front? Once you get the caliper mounting brackets which are available aftermarket for $80 or so a pair, the rest can be purchased at your local NAPA or whoever you get parts through. Some machining is required on the wheel-cylinder boss on the top of the spindle though, although some have used hacksaws.
