How much boost safely on a GM crate ZZ383

I have found a powerdyne PD11 blower with very little use for pretty cheap and am wondering how much boost I could reasonably run before detonation problems. The ZZ is about 10:1. Anyone one have some experience? 6 or 7lbs would make it a little more fun to drive i think.

Go for it 6-7psi isnt that much. Get a knock sensor and if you get any detonation then shim the heads. Hypereutic pistons dont take detonation as well as forged supposedly so you just have to be extra careful.

Great deal I was also thinking of buying it....
6 psi is what i would run ...non intercooled...8-10 with a cooler
had one on a 5.0...... 6 was perfect!!

I think the zz motors are closer to 9 to 1. With this compression ratio and aluminum heads I think 8 to 10 psi would be ok with premium fuel.
