how do i remove the lower portion of the rear seat in my 77 nova? i cant seem to get it out? anyone know what im doing wrong? or how it comes out?

Try pushing down and back at the same time. Do one side at a time they are clipped in. Get one side loose then you'll see.

I had a real tough time with getting that rod unhooked in my 69. I finally popped the plugs out of the floor and using a couple pieces of pipe to get enough leverage to unhook it.

I wedge myself in and work the bottom cushion free of both hooks with my knees.


Unless its a Hatchback.
