How do you install this? I have the seal with a bag of clips and weatherstrip adhesive but the seal has no holes for the clips to go through.. Its made by soffseal.

The original seal seemed to not involve the clips at all they were just in there and they glued the seal right over the top of them. I don't understand the purpose of them.

I marked where the holes were and then punched them with a leather punch and didn't use any sealer my 63wagon only had the clips it wasn't glued down
if i recall correctly you kinda unfold the flap of the seal and you'll see indentations or markings where the clips go... you poke them through.

the weatherstrip on my car took no sealer, i just poked the unit into the body holes and it's installed. unsure if sealer is needed. maybe someone else will chime in... on both my answers/comments.

best of luck, hope i've helped...

I did mine the same way, except I put a strip of masking tape over the holes on the body . popped the hole locations threw the tape , removed the tape, stuck the tape to the weather strip and transfered the hole locations. Was a lot easier than measuring all of them.
Hey thanks guys! I guess the last seal was probably installed at the dealer by probably in the 70's because the edges of it was sealed on with dumdum putty like the factory used and the seal was applied right over the top of the old clips with what looked like a stick on pad. I'll do it right. I'm gonna try the scotch tape method.

I did the same as the others to install mine, I used the push through plastic pins on mine. The seal was way to stiff and it interfeared with the hood colsing. Cowl Hood. It was holding the corners of the hood up, Took it off and walaha the hood was flush again.I couldn't lower the hood any more the hinges were hitting on the iner fenders. So I left it off and just filled the holes with the plastic pins.

Good luck with yours, Mine was also soft seal.
