I picked up a hood and a scoop at a swap meet the other day real cheap, the hood already has the cutout for the scoop that was installed on it. Any body guys on here have any pointers on how I should mount the scoop back on the hood? (what screws/bolts/hardware I should be using?). The car isn't cherry but I obviously dont want it to look like crap. Any help appreciated.

Well, depends on what 'look' you want.

I've seen them done with 1/4" hex head self-tapping screws, allen socket button head screws ( these look good in chrome ) pop rivets, and of course, the most popular, hidden fasteners.

If you decide to use visible fasteners, the key is simply to have the fasteners absolutely uniformly spaced and centered.

another option is to cover the fasteners over with something ( fiberglass ) after installation.

There's a way to bond it on and blend it in that will be very durable, and there's other ways that won't hold up. Are you looking for a quality install? It's a lot of work but I'll explain the long proceedure if you're seriously interested.
