Since I will need to swap distributors and find the right timing curve on my car, I am now wondering if I am going to have trouble since my holley 3301-1 is missing the choke plate, and associated linkages and shaft. I notice the choke plate is easy to find, but can't seem to find the rest.

Will this cause more headachs and would I be better off finding all the missing parts, or just switch to my edelbrock 1407 with the newly added electric choke and start from there?

bill (still clueless)

do you mean 3310-1 750 vac sec? I wouldn't worry about the choke. There are lots of carbs out there with no choke. You're right foot will be the choke. If you want you can put an electric choke on that carb and put the plate back in. None of my carbs had chokes except for my Qjet.
