how do you make hole in the hood line up with carb and what kind of carb air cleaner to hood pan do you guys use, I was going to take a threadded rod groung to a point and screw it into the carb air cleaner stud hole and close the hood to make slight indentation like center punch mark then draw a circle on under side of hood and then cut out the hole to have it perfectly line up with the carb. I will be using an aero hood scoop and scoop air filter any scoop pics or suggestions to help with the method of my madness, J

Lift the hood and put masking tape across from one fender to the other, one at the front and one at the back of the carb. Cut the tape between the fenders, leaving the 2 pieces that are still on the fenders, close the hood and rejoin the the tape across the hood and this let you know where the carb is below the hood is front to back. The side ways cut is easier, because you can judge from the hood itself.
