Sorry I have taken one of your cars...

I have just imported this candy blue 1969 307cu.in.

First taste of a) classic car & b) american iron

I am sure I will be asking lots of questions, no owners manual and lots of bits that look different to modern cars!

Welcome to the site. I love London! I always have so much fun there.

You say you don't have a manual. You can order some online, like this one. It will certainly become handy.

Welcome, geat site with alot of good info and good people. That's good looking 69 you bought. How many American classic's do you see in London? Are you going to convert it to a right hand drive:D:rolleyes:
That certainly is a jewel of a muscle car you've got there. She's beautiful!

She looks pretty complete unless you want to modernize some of the systems in the car.

Lot's of guys doing that here so bring on the questions!

John
Welcome, from a fellow Brit! I haven't been back to the motherland for about 11 years now.

Looks like a nice ride, I hope to have my project looking about that nice in a couple of years or so

It's gotta hurt taking it to the petrol station
Hello and welcome to the site. You got yourself a really nice looking car.
Isn't the steering wheel on the wrong side???
Nice ride. If you have to steal, steal a good one!!

Welcome. I've always wanted to visit the UK. Nice looking Nova.
Congrats on your purchase!

You will be cruising like Royalty in that around the UK.

Where in London do you reside? I was just there a few months ago.

Two weeks ago some of my Nor Cal Nova buddies help me pick up some ole fashion UK Iron! A real Barn Find! Literally!Sat for 40 years!

A 1958 MG Magnette ZB Baritone.

Welcome, glad you desided to join in with us.
Thanks for so many welcomes! I actual live about 30m south of London and work only 15m south of the big city, so don't get to see much of it!

The Nova is quite rare over here, most people go for the Camaro and Mustang, however I didn't really want to share a field at car shows with them!

I have two young kids so it was important to get something with decent rear leg room and some windows, the pony cars are a bit dark and gloomy in the back...combined with the smell of old vinyl it would be a recipe for car sickness!

I think I got in before the price of the pre 1970's cars gone mad over there. Mine is a genuine numbers matching V8 built in the motor-city itself.

Petrol (gas) is real expensive overhere at the moment, approx £1.39 ($2.20) a litre...it was now or never for me, I want the kids to know what a proper V8 is before they are extinct...it isn't a daily driver for this reason.

I would appreciate if anyone knows of a cheap(er) way of shipping some bigger items, I really need a bench seat cover and rear interior panels to get the inside looking as clean as the outside. The tinted wndows hide a shabby black vinyl interior (well not too bad for a 43yr old)

feel free to shoot me any questions about the price of stuff over here and if any ex-pats are missing UK brands I can look into getting stuff shipped to you.

have a nice day ;o)

I agree ...The shipping is pricey.I am running into the same situation with this MG! At leat the currency exchange rate is in your favor!

For me a nice set of leather MG Magnette Front buckets are 1650.00 Pounds..Times the current exchange rate about 1.6=$2640 us dollars plus shipping......

You will need to get a large order and have it all shippied together.
Welcome aboard. I think I speak for most everyone here in saying we're glad to see these cars driven no matter where it takes place.
TO SNS , :waving:

Welcome to the Site :waving:

I have family in and around Bedford....
Welcome.

The only American iron I remember from 31 years ago when we lived near Reading, was a mid to late 70s Mustang II. Not exactly a muscle car.
