I need to replace my hacth lid on my 74.... does anyone know where a replacement can be found or a technique to repair it. PLEASE HELP

Where is the rust?

Some times if the rust is in a specific location you can repair just that spot instead of the whole thing. If you have some pics post them so we can see and then give you some better advise.
