I recently picked up a 9" that was narrowed and had the ends put on to accept the Explorer style rear discs. The axles have the correct GM bolt pattern on them.

I was planning on going to the wrecking yard to pick up a set of rear discs and brackets off of a donor car but was thinking that the rotor will not match up to the bolt pattern of the axles.

Does anyone make a universal style rotor that will work or does anyone have any suggestionson what rotors I should use for this?

From what I understand the Explorer ends have the large bearing but not sure what else make them different form other large bearing ends.

Why not just redrill the rotors with the chevy pattern?
Carefiul layout and a drill press makes it pretty easy.

If you dont want to drill your own, Curie sells Explorer rotors with the Chevy bolt pattern.

I saw that Currie sells them. Dutchman is close to me as well and they may have them as well.

Will have to see what I can find in a wrecking yard here soon.

Next challenge will likely be figuring out how to make the E brake work.

drilled mine in a drill press not a big deal........ get a old gm drum and flip it over to make your template

I assume that you mean an E Brake cable that adapts up correctly?
I still have not seen the explorer brakes yet so not sure what issues I would face in hooking it up.

Is there a specific year or range to look for in the Explorers?
