hi currently having some dramas with my tyres rubbing on the outer fender on drivers side.car currently has 9 inch rims and 265/50/15 tyres on it.im unsure of the back space but from the back of the centre to inner rim is 155mm.looking at downsizing to a 8 inch rim for better fitment and running 255/60/15 tyres.what back space would be recommended.car is currently a 72 with a 10 bolt 8.5 diff

Just a heads up, if your rim currently measures 9” wide then it an 8” rim. All wheels will measure 1” wider than they are advertised. The reason for this is; wheel manufacturers are stating the bead to bead width. The overall width is never advertised. So, the rule of thumb is they are always an inch wider.

Example:

If you currently have an 8” wheel, it measure 9” overall. With a 0 offset you will have 4.5” of backspace.

This is an inexpensive way to nail your offset.
