I have a pair of 66's off the car and comparing those to your pictures yours are 67's. The clocking of the 2 brackets are different than mine. The tallest(longest) bracket on mine measures a shade over 2 inches. I will try to post pics later.
I have a Rochester 2BBL carb that was not designed for a car. I don't know original application. Rod for air filter is angled forward, not straight. Throttle rod connection is a grommet, not carb clip. Carb is not newer than mid '60's. Carb vents gas fumes from bowl to atmosphere at idle.
I'm looking at this 1969 Nova SS 350 with the following VIN: 114279W458508.
I understand that it goes:
1 - Chevrolet
1 - Nova
4 - V8
27 - 2 door hardtop
9 - 1969
W - Willow Run, MI
And the rest is the production number.
How can I tell based off these numbers if it is a genuine SS car...
anyone who has their original bumper jack, what color are the painted parts (jack base, etc.)? the one mine came with, the base is black but the jack is not original.
found a thread about '69 color being a Krylon gray, but no first gen info.
thanks for any/all info.
