Upper handle is from my original 71 2 door car. Got a pair of the lower style at the swap meet and was told they were for my application. Seemed ok at the time but I didn't take too much notice. Plus, mine were in a box for 4 years. They have a noticeable curved portion whereas my original lays totally flat against the door. They don't work on my doors.

Any idea what these are for? 4 door car? thanks.

Either 4 door or later version of the handle.

Parts 3064225 /3064224 were interchangeable in applications with later numbers, The difference is the button shaft. The handles do have a slight difference in shape. Nothing huge. In 1973 5716870/1 replaced 9706522/3 and 5716871 was replaced by 97065223.

In 1972 they listed 9706522/3 for all applications. There is also obvious lack of mention of 4 door. So they should work for either front or rear.

As of 1983 3064224/5 was listed for all.

One of these day I would love to get a set of each and compare them side by side. To point out which is which.

Interesting to note that 5716870/1 was 67-68 Camaro and 9706522/3 was list as 69 Camaro. Yet later one works for all.

Here's a pic of the handles I won't be using. From this angle, it seems the handle is rotated down but it is not - Its aligned where it needs to be. Good rule of thumb: Check part fitment BEFORE you spend time cleaning them up. Well, all is not lost. Since your looking for a set to compare you can have these. PM me your address.
