Hello all,

I recently picked up a frame off rebuild of a red 1968 Acadian - 307ci, 4spd, 3.43 gears. Previous owner seemed to have done a great on the rebuild from everything I've seen and checked. I have been checking the site for info as its one of the few places online with Acadian info.

Found a few things I want to add/correct, so you may be hearing from me soon.

Love my new ride, glad to be here!

Cheers,
:beer1:

First off, Welcome to SNS.:D:D:D
The personal album section in everyone's profile's is experiencing problems. They are working on resolving this issue. You may also want to visit Canadian Poncho, as there is much more Acadian info over there. You will also start to realize that even though your 3rd gen Acadian ownership says Pontiac, It's not.:rolleyes::D You will find lots of info and heated discussions on this topic on both sites.:yes::D You're also going to find out, that not only is a 3rd gen Acadian almost non existant on the internet, but you also have a 68, which like the 68 Nova is a lone bird all on it's own. When I was much younger, I had a 68 Acadian and have been kickin' my fat arse ever since, for getting rid of it. Enjoy our Site.:D:D:D

Yeah, I'm registered over there too. I'm aware of the argument over whether it is a Pontiac or just an Acadian. To be honest I don't really care I just really like the car and that it is piece of Canadian history.

In regards to the oddball 68, it's really a 681/2. :) The previous owner that rebuilt it, had a 69 Acadian that was sacrificed for some parts and emblems. Maybe he ran into the issue of finding 68 parts too...

Gary - are you heading out to the big cruise night at Williamson's in Uxbridge this Thursday? Heard it should be a big one 200+ cars...:turn:

My dad (62 Chevy II conv.) and I we're thinking of heading over...
