I have seen some cars at the cruisins that have eliminated the chrome molding that goes around the front and rear windshields and are using a new style ALL black type gasket. Its usually smooth with a few bevels in it but theres no chrome needed. Does any one have any idea what this is called or if it can be done on the stock nova window frame?

Hmm I tried that on a wagon I had and they said "they didnt show a seal without the trim going around it" ... was wondering if I can just buy it and have them install it or if its a universal thing?

Glass install companies should have it on a roll, measure out what you need they sell it by the foot.
There are different widths, measure your gap to make sure the molding will cover it.
Remove the clip studs before you put in the glass.
Your windshield install will be the same, the new molding presses in, add a little urethane to the gap first, it holds the molding in.
Warm up the molding so it bends around the corner easier. Tape it down at the corners until the urethane sets.
