in the middle of building my small block 350 have a new set of hastings rings while making sure the ring gap was within spec found that one set of rings is beveled on the inside diameter and the other set is not and is only beveled on one on the inner edges I have always been taught that if the rings have a piticular way of being installed to look for a dot on one of the sides but these rings have no dot for me to use need help thanks in advanced

Hastings Rings

This is from a "Hastings rings" installation instructions:
"Install rings with dots up towards the piston top. The beveled inner edge goes towards the top, rings with out dots or bevels can be installed either way. I can't scan the sheet right now. If you need more info let me know. Ron
