Got a small oil leak. Appears to be coming right out of the weld where the dipstick tube enters the oilpan. Must be a pinhole in the weld. Any ideas on how to fix? Maybe silicone or JB weld?

silicone will work.make sure the area is oil/grease free.clean it 2 or 3 times before you apply.if its only a pin hole just use a tiny dab...wipe off the excess.bm

Yeah BM, I.m gonna need to get any and all oil residue removed. Maybe a degreaser or paint thinner wipe and dry before applying the silicon?

Try lacquer thinner to degrease the area, dries the fastest without any residue.
