My buddy just installed an aftermarket balancer on his 350 and it is almost rubbing the sway bar. We used an installer so we know it is all the way on. Has any one ever run into this before with a small block in a 3rd gen?

I think David Vizard said it's better to run a larger balancer for a bunch of reasons. One being it helps maintain rpm between shifts.

That said, I've got the small 1 on my mtr (was on it when I got the short block). I think it's the "6 one so I'm curious to see what you guys think.

I've been debating buying a "8 balancer for a while now.

The balancer is an 8 incher. My 383 has the same size balancer and I am hoping I won't run into this problem. He is thinking of putting 1/4 to 1/2 inch stock between the sway bar bracket and the frame to get clearance. I've never heard of this problem until he had it.
