I took my '62 to a regular glass shop to have the windshield and back glass installed. They tried twice on the back and it leaked like there was no glass there. I asked around and found a guy that is excellent. If you want your older car glass put in right the first time call James at Pro-Glass. His number is 913-961-1033. He comes to your place. He is good.

Did you happen to see what type of sealer he used? I've heard a few different ones and I don't know which to use. My windshield leaks as there appears to be no sealer used in the gasket.

He actually says if the glass is installed correctly with a good rubber gasket it should not need any sealer. He did fill the top gap with a sealer like 3M Strip Caulk but it was in a tube. Butyl is not what he used.
