The NASCAR theme is very cool, you could also graft on fender openings on the quarters, this gives you 2" more height, this is what i did in the pic, i have a few photos of the whole project if you like to see. good luck, cant wait to see some pics.

Saw the build pics on the rear quarters in another forum, very cool and nice work. Im diggin' the flat black on yours. Im doing the same with gloss black numbers on doors, gloss black brand logo's on fenders, 350 C.I. on hood etc...
As far as my fenders, we're actually building the fender openings around the radius of the tires, ala Nascar style. The Aero wheels i ordered have about a 2" backspacing so the tire extends from the body about 3". Gonna flare out the lip like a widebody TransAm car.We start cutting on her next week so i'll update progress as we go.

Got my wheels/tires in today for my Nascar theme Nova. Roll cage coming next week, then we start cutting and flaring the fender wells:D:D These are the fronts, they are 275/50-15
Ive often looked at those areo wheels for something different and yours look better than i thought, would like to get rid of the skinny front one day without going broke and might try them myself.

Lets give credit where its do... Chris Grey works for Marquez Design in Sacramento and is responsible for this design and many others. His rendering of this " Trans-am" style Nova has inspired me to build one.
He was just featured in Popular Hot Rodding for his automotive design talent.
We have spoken and are both excited about turning his vision into reallity. The build has started and pics will be coming.
