329 per side? before tax and shipping, dear lord. Anyone know where I can get replacements any cheaper, and will actually stand the test of time, or is Goodmark the only route, besides finding used? I can't afford that. Yet at least. Put in an application for Sanitary District Clerical job, pays pretty decent, and it's a student internship, so I stand a good shot at getting it.

Major bucks? After paying for fuel to make a 770 mile trip, he will save just about $150. It is a 12 hour round trip, if he never stops. Fuel stops for truck and stomach will stretch it to at least 13-14 hours, and the add the cost of food. Figure it all out, and it will probably equal about $8 bucks an hour savings. If he decides that a 13-14 hour trip is too long to make in one shot, and stays somewhere, the savings are gone.

Contact Nightshade, he will give you a quote, and they fenders can be delivered to your door.

all your numbers make my head hurt haha but that sounded right. i was thinking a little over $500 after fenders and mileage. didnt even take into account staying down there, i might be able to pull off a one day trip, but that would blow. so if i did a cheapy motel id be over $550, IMO not worth it. now if i could get someone to ship em to me from down there, i'd do it in a heartbeat.

fenders...

How bad are the original fenders....??? can they be fixed with a quality repair by a professional...???? if so, that will be the best bet for the long haul. Can't tell from your webpage what they look like....nothing beats assembly line stuff for proper fit. Post some pics of the fenders so we can see the condition....

I found a Goodmark dealer in Concord, NC just by checking out Craigslist ads - picked up a fender for $225. Here's a couple of possibilities in your neck of the woods.

Cheers, Tim

haha the first ad is mine! i picked up a set of fenders for free, and now i'm trying to off em! they are completely trashed, but i got the eyebrow trim, and side louvers off of em. sold the louvers for 32 bucks! and the trim was in perfect shape, and theyre gonna go on my new fenders. the 2nd one, i called them about a hood awhile back, and they seemed to never get em in stock, but something has to be wrong with 170 for a set of goodmark fenders! unless theyre stolen, which is a possibility!

just called the guy, he says they were a customer return. the guy couldnt get the gaps to line up. thats why they are 170 each.
