Well in a week or two the original powerglide is comming out and my turbo 350 tranny I have sitting here is going in the 63 wagon. From what I can tell the 350 is a different length than the powerglide which means a new driveshaft will be needed. Can anyone confirm this with me? I have not been able to pull the wagon out since it's not running and in front of about 3 other old cars in the mulch section of my yard. Someone told me that they thought the length was the same between a 350 and powerglide but was not 100% sure.
If not then is there a driveshaft out there on a later model car in the junk yard I can pull and bolt right up?
Any information on this would be greatly appreciated!
Thanks!

There are two different lengths to a TH350. A "short tail" and a "long tail".
The short 350 is the same length as the powerglide.
The long 350 will require a shorter driveshaft.

If it's a 6 in. tailshaft, you will need to cut 3 in. off the driveshaft. Sometimes a 9 in. tailshaft will show up.
