the lock cylinder popped out of my glove box. Now I have to use a screw driver to open the box.
I tried putting the piece back in but it just falls back out. Does anyone know how to fix this?

I just bought a new one and it came with keys......It would be much easier to do it right..I think it ended up about $20. from what I remember....Chevy 2 Only....Classic Ind.... Jim Dyer...Ect. many place's carry them...

Its been awhile since Ive looked at one but I do remember a small set screw on the back side (inside the glovebox) of the lock that may have fallen out not %100 sure but thats what I remeber. I can pull mine out of storage and look closer this evening.

There is a screw on the back. Not sure what it does though.

Ok I just dug mine out. The screw on the back hols the locking mech. in a housing (sleeve) to keep it in place. If that is all there I think you may need to replace the lock. Undo the screw and you will see what I was talking about. It sound like a bigger problem than I thought. I have gad the screw back out on me from the vibration.
