I've been going by the diagram that's posted here alot for the battery relocation. I've run the 8 guage for the alternator and the feed to the fuse box. I bought a roll of 12 guage fusible link. I was reading today and a page said that shortening a length of fusible link will raise the current in which it burns into.

How long do I make the fusible links? One other thing, the feed from the alternator is protected on the battery side, but wouldn't it be a good idea to put one by the alternator in case the wire becomes shortened in between. If the car was still running the alternator feed would still be going to ground without it. thanks

I don't know how long it is suppose to be, but the longer the fuseable link, the less current it will hold.
