Can someone help me build my fuel lines? Like what connectors to use.
Fuel pump: 1/4 npt female for both feed and return
Fuel filter: -8 male for inlet and outlet
Fuel Regulator: -6 male
Fuel rail: stock ls, gm quick connect.

I am just super confused by building these things. Do I just need hose barb to the size? Like, for the fuel pump do I want to do hose barb to 1/4 npt or should I get something like a -8 to 1/4 npt and attach the hose using the -8 compression fitting?

Should I do aluminum hard lines instead of ptfe braided line?

Hippie, a good looking, safe and reasonably priced way to plumb fuel lines is to use pushlock fittings and hose.
A good pushlock hose like Parker can handle any fuel and much higher pressures than you will see in a car. If you want something other than black, Parker makes it in several colors.
Just about every area has a Parker store or you can buy it from most of the usual internet stores.
To start, try and begin with compatable sizes......it makes everything much simpler and eliminates a bunch of bulky, expensive and unnecessary adapter fittings......example; 1/4" fuel pump and a -8 (1/2') filter.
Start at the tank with 3/8" (-6) and stay consistent all the way to the carb/FI. 3/8" is plenty for just about any street car.
